The villages, towns, and farms of Eastdale makeup the prosperous holdings of Lord Kelvore Wrothe. Though he maintains a manor home in each town, Wrothe is rarely in Eastdale, preferring to spend his time in distant noble courts. He entrusts day-to-day responsibilities to a local bailiff, appointed to oversee each town.

Eastdale includes the town of Erien and its Outer Homesteads, and the villages of Bels, Crestwall, Raven’s Head, Redgrove, Thraben Mill, and Westweed.

Crestwall and Thraben Mill are home to some of the most productive wheat fields in the valley, and the orchards near Raven’s Head are coveted for their Red Dewcrest Apples. Bels, often called the Lord’s Salad Plate, is legendary for the pumpkins, melons, cucumbers, cabbages, and other vegetables that thrive there. Westweed supports great herds of cattle and Erien’s Outer Homesteads are famed for their blueberries and, more recently, cherries.

Although humans are, by far, the most numerous folk of the land, more than a few Ptah halfling underhomes peek out from the slightly rolling landscape, clustered along the riverbeds. Dwarves, less common, but not unusual also make their homes in the villages, where they often serve as smiths. Even a few elves have taken up residence in Eastdale.

The regions idyllic peace is interrupted all too frequently by goblinoid raiders from Zaran Wood and the nearby mountains. They tend to avoid the villages, but raid outlying farms and the Outer Homesteads frequently enough that Lord Wrothe has been petitioned for formulate a guard to route them out. He has resisted this so far, but does offer a standing bounty that he hopes will attract adventurers to do his work for him.
